GET INVOLVED ARE INDEPENDANT MUSIC PROMOTERS/DJ'S BASED IN NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE.

GET INVOLVED was started in November 2006 as a fortnightly live music/club night at The Cooperage.

Within a few months our reputation had grown and before we knew it some of our favorite bands from all over the UK had been INVOLVED. Including Kubichek, Grammatics, AnteAter (Forward Russia), Shut Your Eyes And Youll Burst Into Flames, Ever Since The Lake Caught Fire, Los Campesinos and Shitdisco.

By Spring 2007 we had begun to branch out, putting on bigger events at venues all over Newcastle and playing regular guest DJ Sets at some of the regions top indie club nights; Jukebox, Alcatraz, Cool For Cats, Revenge, Spun and Ignition among others. We also had the second biggest stage at the first ever NARC.Fest in July, the regions biggest independent music festival.

Since ending the GET INVOLVED club night at The Cooperage in July 07 we have continued to relentlessly put on gigs all over the North-East. We have recently brought the likes of Amusement Parks On Fire, Errors, Ratatat, Awesome Color, Health, Vessels, These Monsters, This Town Needs Guns, Dananananaykroyd and Frightened Rabbit to Newcastle.

As well as putting on GET INVOLVED gigs we are also working in association with Generator North East (as regional co-ordinators for the Transit Scheme) and Love Music Hate Racism and we are currently overseeing the live bookings at The End venue in Newcastle.
